lyrics

Jimmy Biggs - Lonely Means No-One

We’d come to a crossing and craved a kissing
The mum is the boss; it prays for the precision of
Something catastrophic (to delay my decision to
Dumbfound this dross in this place was the mission.)

So me, the showman, the low-lover’s whip,
Throws seeds off the bone to a shuffling hip.
But “no!” he pleads “Just some bluffing trick,”
And “lonely means no-one to do nothing with.”

Jay says “I’m stretched and my soul’s like a sieve”
And in the same breath,
Says “Was it a test?
Lonely means no-one to do nothing with.”

Today I awake on a lake in the sea
Of a wave, I am made and laid blissfully –
Shaking and naked in the blue shades of green
Jay tries to say he takes it seriously.

Jay says the Spring gets more than it gives
And tripping down into death
And in the very same breath
You’ll get so lonely, you could live

Jay says “I’m stretched and my soul’s like a sieve”
And in the same breath,
Says “Was it a test?
Lonely means no-one to do nothing with.”
